There will be a new name on the Premiership Rugby Cup trophy when Gloucester Rugby and Leicester Tigers contest the first silverware of the 2023/24 season.

The Cherry & Whites edged holders Exeter Chiefs 17-14 in the first semi-final while Tigers saw off a spirited Ealing Trailfinders side 29-21 a day later to book their place in the Cup climax.

Handrè Pollard kicked 18 points from the tee as Tigers dominated the pair's first league meeting of the season, but there will be more than just the Slater Cup up for grabs in their next fixture.

When is the Premiership Rugby Cup final?

This season's Premiership Rugby Cup final will take place at Kingsholm on Friday 15th March (7.45pm kick-off), live on TNT Sports.

After finishing the pool stages with a superior record, Gloucester have home advantage.

The sides will meet again a week after the final, with Tigers welcoming Gloucester to Mattioli Woods Welford Road in Round 13 of Gallagher Premiership Rugby on Friday 22nd March.

Both teams are bidding for their first Premiership Rugby Cup success since it replaced the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2018, a tournament these sides won on a combined eight occasions.

Gloucester currently sit ninth in the league table, 11 points behind Tigers in sixth.
